What this page is for

The home page is the front door of Safar Demo. From here you can pick your destination, see popular countries with their lowest prices, read how an eSIM works and find answers to common questions.

An eSIM is a digital SIM card. You buy a data plan, scan a QR code with your phone and get mobile data abroad without swapping your normal SIM.

How to find a plan for your trip

In the search box at the top, open Where are you going? and choose the country you are visiting.
Press the search button. You go to the plans page with only the plans that work in that country.
Compare the plans by data, number of days and price, then add the one you want to your basket.

You can also click a country under Popular destinations. The price shown there ("from ...") is the cheapest plan for that country.

How to check that your phone works with an eSIM

Most phones made since 2019 support eSIM. On iPhone open Settings, General, About and look for Digital SIM or EID. On Android look for SIM manager or eSIM in the settings. Your phone must also not be locked to one mobile network.

How an eSIM works, in three steps

Choose a plan: pick your destination, how much data and for how long.
Scan the QR code: it arrives by email and on your order page a few seconds after you pay.
Land and connect: switch on the eSIM when you arrive. The plan starts on its first connection in a covered country.

FAQs

Do I lose my phone number? No. Your normal SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts. The eSIM is for data only.

When should I buy and install it? Buy it before you travel and install it while you have Wi-Fi. The plan days only start when the eSIM first connects in your destination.

Is it a subscription? No. Every plan is a one-off payment. Nothing renews by itself.

What does the banner at the very top mean? If you see "Test mode: no real payments are taken and no real eSIMs are sent", the store is still being set up. You can try the checkout, but the eSIM you get is a demo that does not connect to any network.

How do I change between light and dark colours? Use the theme switch at the bottom of every page.
